AUSTIN — The thorny illegal immigration issue just won’t go away in the Texas GOP primaries — to the dismay of Hispanic Republicans such as Lionel Sosa who say the party’s future hinges on its success wooing the projected majority group in the state.
Sosa, who for more than two decades headed an advertising agency that specialized in marketing to Hispanics, argued in a column his party can win them over because “most Latinos are Republican; they just don’t know it.”
